Katie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Colorado and Virginia, as well a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Throughout her clinical experience, Katie has worked with individuals and families of all ages to address difficulties stemming from anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, eating disorders, OCD and more. Katie has facilitated group therapy for adolescents struggling with issues surrounding body image, interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, and substance use. She also has extensive experience providing group therapy for children of all ages working to improve their social skills and emotional regulation, as well as providing parent coaching.

Katie has experience using a variety of treatment modalities, including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure response prevention therapy (ERP), person-centered, and mindfulness based approaches. Additionally, she is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trained in Play Therapy. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of all effective therapy and, therefore, works alongside all of her clients from a holistic, empathetic, and non-judgmental stance. Katie is dedicated to working collaboratively with clients to help them reach their goals and bring about meaningful change. In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
