Joshua Dickter, LPC, PsyD
Joshua Dickter, LPC, PsyD is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and their parents. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Colorado and his Masters and Doctorate degrees of Clinical Psychology with a Child Specialization from the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology. He is currently working towards an additional licensure as a psychologist.
Josh has experience working across a variety of settings, including crisis intervention, residential programming, day treatment programs and outpatient clinics. Josh strongly believes that "children do well if they can," meaning that if given the right skills, support and understanding, children will always strive to succeed. Josh incorporates this philosophy strongly into his work, implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based practices in creative, and most importantly fun ways with his clients. While working with adolescents and children is his passion, Josh also enjoys working with families to support the goals of their children and provide tools for sustainable success. When he is not working, Josh enjoys hiking, fishing, and baking.
